Many Milestones - April

Jenna has reached many milestones in the last couple months that we have yet to document. Here are the ones for April.

Milestone#1: Jenna turned 6 months old. That in itself is huge step! At her 6 month check up she was 15 lbs. 6 oz. (37th percentile), 26 3/8 in. long (50th percentile), and had a head circumference of 17 1/2 in. (88th percentile). Averaged all out and the doctor called her "perfect"! And she certainly is!
The only downer from the visit (besides the shots) was hearing that if Jenna's eye hasn't cleared up by her 9 month wellness checkup, she'll have to see an eye specialist to have it probed. Yuck!

Milestone#2: Watch out, she's moblie! Although Jenna learned to roll in March, she is now a pro! She does what Austin calls "The Double Barrel Army Roll". To get where she wants to go, she will roll twice in quick succession. If we blink she is on the other side of the room!

Here Jenna rolled under the coffee table. Mom and Dad weren't quite ready for her mobility. We hadn't gotten things off the floor and put away quick enough. Doesn't that smile look a little too mischievous?

Jenna LOVES books! We try to read with her a little everyday. Here she is with some light reading; Austin's GRE study book! Ha Ha!

Love that face of hers!
(She has Austin's eyebrows! I love it!)

Milestone#3: Sitting - Jenna can sit up by herself for short periods of time. We have been practicing having her sit by sitting behind her. She just sits and plays with one of us being there to catch her when she falls over. She'll usually fall to the side, but she's gotten a few mouth fulls of carpet from falling forward.

Milestone#4: Giving kisses - Jenna started giving those wonderful wide mouthed, tongue filled kisses. All you have to do is say "kisses" and pucker your lips while doing the "mmmmm" kissing sound and she'll open her mouth and lean in for a juicy one! They're the best!

Daddy getting one of Jenna's wet ones!

I love baby kisses. :) It's hilarious to watch her roll too. She's a pro!
