As a kid we had an Easter egg hunt every year. Mom and Dad would fill eggs with candy (there was no Easter bunny that came to my house), and Dad would take it all to the backyard and hide it. We'd all have our baskets in hand and wait anxiously by the back door. Dad would say "go" and we'd all race out the back door to find the loot. Since the range in age was quite a lot in my family after all the eggs and candy were found, we'd come back in dump it all on the table and Mom would distribute it fairly among all of us. We didn't care about who got the most, because we knew it would all come out even in the end.
This year my sister Alyson and I decided it would be fun to do a grandkid egg hunt. We got everyone on board to bring eggs filled with toys and treats. It was so fun! The 3 one year olds got to go out first. Jenna was a hoot. She had NO idea what was going on, she was just excited to be able to go outside. She LOVES being outside. She got down the steps to the patio and started raising up her arms with basket in hand saying "Woo hoo! Woo hoo!" It was a crack up!

That is the look of pure joy!
This was at the end of her "Woo hoo's".
I was too slow to get my camera out.

Jenna figured out that there was something in the eggs, so she stopped and started to open one.
I wanted her to get some more eggs before they were gone, so I took it from her, put it back into her basket and got her to go get another egg. Luckily she didn't protest.

Getting some help from Grandma.
I'm so glad she had fun, but the whole time I'm thinking in my head
"Please don't get your shoes dirty!"
Who has their daughter wear white shoes on a rainy day to do an Easter egg hunt?
Apparently me.

Putting some candy in her basket.
Not bad for her first egg hunt!

Getting the last egg.

What a cute little boy!

The haul that Mallory got! That basket is chalk full!

Hooray!

Jenna as happy as can be!
She is so dang cute!

So cute!! Didn't even notice your blog wasn't replaced on my sidebar from my oops of deleting them all. Sorry, but I found you. That last picture of Jenna is my favorite! She is a doll.
