Jenna's 1st Birthday

My baby has turned one! Where did the time go? I can't believe that one short year ago Jenna was born and joined our family. It's been so fun to watch her grow and learn. She is one smart cookie who amazes us everyday with what she catches on to. She has a small but continually growing vocabulary which consists of uh-oh, hi, mama, dada, daddy, dah (dog), woo woo (woof woof), cocka cocka (short for cock-a-doodle-doo), and baba. She is very vocal and is constantly making some kind of noise. She can also mimic a myriad of sounds that may be said to her. My favorite is the monkey sound. It's pretty dang cute!

On Jenna's birthday we threw a small family party at our place. We had yummy pulled pork sandwiches and a few different kinds of salads for lunch. (Thank you to those who brought food to share!) When all the guests had arrived and eaten Jenna opened her gifts (with help from mama) and then we ate cake. Simple, but fun.
